Wafer-Level Packaging Process Engineer
- General Description
- IMT is looking for an experienced wafer-level packaging process engineer to lead IMT WLP group
- The candidate will be responsible for sustaining, tracking and monitoring existing production processes as well as developing new bonding methods
- The candidate will work for various engineering teams to address day-to-day packaging/bonding issues
- The candidate should have thorough understanding of wafer-level packaging methods, including high vacuum bonds
- He/she will work with Operations/Production and the Development Team to provide support during the production phases
- This position requires close cooperation with other Product Engineering team members, the Manufacturing Operations team, and also some customer interaction
- Detailed Job Duties
- Ownership of IMT bonders and bond aligners
- Daily sustaining of IMT bond processes and bonding fixtures
- Drive improvements in yield, quality, and cycle time on existing high volume processes
- Develop new packaging processes and review product specifications to ensure customer expectations can be met
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action
- Oversee work of up to 4 technicians in 4 different shifts
- Create ISO documentation for production and development projects
- Revise and create project-specific and company-wide design rules
- Conduct equipment training
- Interface with field service engineers

- B.S. plus 10 years of industry experience or M.S. plus 5 years of industry experience
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Material Science, Chemical Engineering
- Prior hands-on experience with wafer bonding in an industrial setting

- Demonstrated skills in problem solving

Electroplating Process Engineer
- General Description
- IMT is looking for a talented electroplating engineer to lead IMT’s plating group
- The candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, tracking, monitoring, and analysis of production processes that meet customer’s product specifications
- Also responsible for the development of new electroplating methodologies, cells and/or plating materials
- The candidate will work closely with program managers and lead process engineers to address day-to-day plating issues
- The candidate should have thorough understanding of electroplating dynamics, standard bath sustaining, and standard surface preparation techniques
- Ability to work independently in a cleanroom setting required

- Ownership of electroplating equipment
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action
- Support continuous improvement of plating processes and product cycle time
- Daily sustaining of electroplating cells including cleaning, mixing and qualifying new baths
- Review electroplating and other solution tank samples/analysis
- Create plating documentation for production and development projects
- Develop new plating techniques on existing baths
- Revise and create project specific and company-wide design rules

Software Systems Engineer
- General Description
- The Software Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining IMT’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Manufacturing Information System (MIS) software, as well as generation and maintenance of software macros required for data import, extraction, and processing
- He/she will work in close cooperation with the Development, Manufacturing Operations, and Product Engineering teams to provide support of development and production operations
- This person requires strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, and an aptitude for working in a dynamic work environment

- Develop and maintain and validate software tools for import of data from semiconductor fabrication equipment that has varied I/O capability into the MIS system, including graphical and statistical analysis for in-process evaluation of product/gauging performance
- Develop and maintain data reports from the MES and MIS systems as needed by engineering staff and Quality Assurance
- Set up and maintain control charts in the MIS system, including calculation and interpretation of statistical control limits
- Take ownership of the MES and MIS software, including evaluation and install of software upgrades, new modules, and add-in capabilities
- Develop MES process flows to support Development group needs
- Develop documentation of software modules and their use
- Train operators, technicians, and engineers on the use of MES and MIS systems

Process Development Engineer
- General Description
- Develop the processes for MEMS fabrication to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met
- Troubleshoot development problems with the fabrication process and take corrective action

Regional Foundry Sales Manager
- General Description
- Research target markets and prospects to expand IMT’s MEMS contract manufacturing/foundry services in the Bay Area
- Develop a list of target accounts, including identifying contacts and developing relationships
- Follow up and/or create leads, qualify prospects, and nurture through contract closure and purchase order
- Work with sales/marketing and process development personnel to meet the needs of customers in target markets and applications

Senior Program Manager
- General Description
- Manage process development of MEMS devices

Photolithography Engineer
- General Description
- IMT is looking for a talented photolithography process engineer to sustain current production and lead the development of new processes
- This includes ownership of steppers and advanced coater track equipment, control of the processes, running qualification wafers, monitoring equipment performance, and establishing reaction plans
- Work will take place in IMT’s 150 mm class 100 production and development clean room in Santa Barbara, CA
