Positions


Manager of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems

  • General Description
    • Will be the cross-function team leader to select, purchase, install, and operate IMT’s first ERP system
    • Subsequently, will implement and manage ERP systems projects and provide ongoing operation/maintenance of the ERP Systems; to act as liaison between the department end-users and the ERP System; and to perform related work as required
  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Architect and full execute ERP systems implementation projects from start to finish
    • Utilizes knowledge of ERP systems to assist users in systemizing business processes and implementing these in ERP software process flows
    • Provides instructions, training sessions, assistance, and technical support services to ERP System end-users
    • Creates and updates ERP policies and procedures, business rules, end user desk aids, and training materials
    • Works with IT team to restore, correct and/or recover data, and to develop and design customer reports
    • Provides management with reports as needed
    • Tests new system functionality, reports, and queries in test databases
    • Troubleshoots system problems
    • Ensures that the end users have optimum use of the system
    • Responsible for continuous improvement in system reliability, availability and performance
  • Work Experience, Education, and Physical Requirements 
    • Must come from a semiconductor manufacturing background -- Internal wafer fabrication, not outsourced
    • Must have helped select and implement ERP systems at least once; preferably 2 -3 times
    • Must comprehensively understand data structures to best plan for some semiconductor-specific IT problems:
      • Yields, & yield tracking by product/process
      • Products change form from wafers to probed die to singulated die
      • Lot tracking systems versus wafer tracking versus die tracking
        • Lot splits: parent/child visibility
        • Lot re-combinations
        • Bonusing back into WIP, products which had been initially scrapped
      • Software to correctly account for Rework
      • Exception processing, so the development organization can work with tools owed and operated by the production organization
    • Must comprehensively understand date structures for the more universal manufacturing IT problems
      • MRP systems: raw materials lead time & procurement
        • Managing min/max stocking levels of raw materials and manufacturing consumables
        • Predicting raw material requirements based on delivery forecasts
      • Scheduling systems: cycle times, lead times, reverse-planning from due dates
        • Availability-to-promise analysis
        • Critical Ratio
      • Dispatch software & algorithms to initiate production by part #, and tool
      • Queuing software & algorithms to optimize throughput
      • Work-in-process linearization software
      • Layered prioritization systems o Backlog and delinquency analysis

      • Software for Bottleneck analysis, capacity planning, and optimization of tool utilization
    • Understand how to optimize the relationship between ERP system software, and MES software (Manufacturing Execution System)
      • Tradeoffs of what functionality is best implemented in which of the two environments, and vice versa
      • Software interface so these two major applications can communicate and work well together
    • Understand trade-offs between hosting ERP on local servers versus cloud-hosted SAS implementations
    • Post-ERP implementation
      • Works well with Production Planning and Control organizations, Customer Service, and Finance
      • Can function well as applications consultant to these three “internal customer” organizations
      • Can recruit and manage personnel to maintain real-time operation of manufacturing IT systems 24/7
    • Educational Requirements:
      • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences; Masters or MBA highly desired
      • Minimum 10 - 15 year experience providing application analysis and support for ERP systems environments required
      • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Crystal Reports, and familiarity with relational database structures preferred
      • 10 - 15 years of applicable business experience required
      • Experience must demonstrate proficient skills and knowledge in the areas of resource planning, process engineering, and business analytics
      • Industry-recognized certifications in project Management, such as PMP, CAPM, etc.

Quality Engineer

  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Audit, maintain and refine ISO 9001 quality management systems
    • Develop, implement and improve ISO/TS 16949 systems

Production Material Coordinator

  • General Description
    • Work with production planner to forecast and manage semiconductor fabrication cleanroom (fab) consumable inventory
    • Assist in the development and improvement of inventory control systems along with their implementation
    • Execute methods for controlling, storing, distribution and physical verification or production materials
    • Perform shipping and receiving activities and direct dispensing fab consumables
    •  Must have in-depth knowledge of Excel, familiarity of inventory control systems a plus.
  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Analyze material usage rates to minimize inventory while assuring no disruptions in production operations
    • Ensures all inventory transactions are accounted for and that the procedures for dispensing items are being followed
    • Monitor inventory levels as needed and reconcile inventory information in OPC and Eyelit MES
    • Assist in restocking fab related materials
    • Responsible for storage and safe keeping of bulk wafers and other fab consumables
    • Work with purchasing to re-ordering consumables and reduce costs
    • Responsible for fab garment control. Work directly with service personnel, assist in restocking garment inventory based on weekly usage report, track and address beyond repair patterns
    • Responsible for managing shipping department in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures). Ensure that shipping is executed in a timely manner and that shipping notification are sent to IMT and its customers (tracking numbers and summaries)
    • Assist in the execution of 5S projects throughout the company
    • Ensure supply needs of custodial are met
    • Leads corrective action efforts in the inventory and shipping areas

MEMS Design Engineer

  • General Description
    • The MEMS Design Engineer will design new and support the designs of existing MEMS devices. The design activities will be focused on CAD software that includes ANSYS, HFSS, COMSOL, L-Edit, ZEMAX, and Essential Macleod

    • Create simulations that run efficiently and converge over a wide range of input parameters
    • Optimize designs based on simulations

Photolithography Engineer

  • General Description
    • IMT is looking for a talented photolithography process engineer to sustain current production and lead the development of new processes
    • This includes ownership of advanced steppers, mask aligner and coater track equipment, photo process control, qualification operations, equipment performance, and reaction plans
    • Work will take place in IMT’s 150 mm production and development cleanroom in Santa Barbara, CA

    • Process and sustaining engineering support for photolithography modules in Production and Development programs
    • Develop resist processes including creating recipes for coater track and stepper
    • Ownership of all photolithography SPC (control charts) and ppk performance improvement

Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

  • General Description
    • IMT is Seeking talented technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fab manufacturing equipment in a class 100 semiconductor production cleanroom in Santa Barbara CA
  • Detailed Job Duties
    • Work with Equipment Engineers to improve an increase equipment uptime
    • Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives
    • Order parts, attend shift passdown meetings, and communicate daily activities
    • Make database entries to document all work performed on equipment
    • This is a non-exempt position working on a compressed work week shift -- 3rd shift
      • Work hours are 4 pm to 3:30 am Monday through Thursday (after training and attaining certain level of experience)
      • Regular overtime may be required
    • This is an in fab position and requires wearing cleanroom attire and working in a cleanroom environment
    • Standing for long periods and lifting 60+ lbs is required
    • You may be required to wear PPE and be exposed to chemicals
    • Experience with advanced semiconductor equipment such as wafer Nikon stepper, Veeco PVD and STS PECVD, Tystar LPCVD, ICP etchers, SVG/TEL coater tracks, Suss wafer bonders, Plasmatherm RIE, and robotic wet benches is preferred
  • Work Experience, Education, and Physical Requirements
    • Minimum of H.S. diploma with 15 years experience OR A.A. degree in electronics or manufacturing technology or equivalent with 10 years experience
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in production semiconductor process equipment maintenance

    • Computer skills with both non-windows and windows operating systems preferred
