  • develop RF MEMS devices and subsystems that include switches, filters, phase shifters, resonators, and passives
  • seeking a candidate, who can conceive, model, optimize, and fabricate an RF MEMS device with the following characteristics and experience
    • detailed understanding of HFSS modeling software or the equivalent
    • intimate familiarity in MEMS fabrication processing, including photolithography, PVD, CVD, RIE, DRIE, and wet processing
    • an understanding of packaging constrains on RF performance
    • device troubleshooting
    • test and measurement methods at frequencies > 1GHz
    • SPICE Modeling electrical circuit design
  • minimum of a BS degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences and three to five years of wafer processing experience, with much of that time in a developmental role

  • requires direct experience with the following:
    • MOEMS, RFMEMS, BioMEMS, Accelerometer, and other similar products
    • DOE, SPC, and critical inspections to ensure the processing of wafers meets tolerances
    • vacuum deposition, dry etch, wet etch, electroplating, stepper-based photolithography, and Si and glass wafer bonding processes
    • methods of MEMS testing, including automated electrical probing, optical test, SEM and AFM characterization
  • BS/BA required, advanced degree preferred in a scientific discipline

  • this individual will development all aspects of micro-structure electroplating, including process, characterization, metrology, scale-up, and tool development
  • chemistry formulation and characterization, as well as plating hardware understanding and experience are required
  • extensive microstructure plating is also necessary
  • the ideal candidate will have experience plating Cu, Au, Ni, magnetic alloys, and solder alloys
  • photolithographic mold patterning to form micro structures and process integration of the plating process with the complete MEMS flow will be required
